Official gig-poster for The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie's performance in Pittsburgh, PA. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of their milestone albums Give Up and Transatlanticism.
Instead of drawing just one large illustration, I opted to illustrate 30 small postage stamps that collectively spell out each letter of both band’s names. Each stamp is inspired by the band, album, or specific lyrics in some way - with a couple tributes to my beloved city of Pittsburgh included as well. My hope is that fans will appreciate all the easter eggs in the imagery, and I’ve included a thorough description of each stamp below the images.

Over the past decade, I've been creating screen-printed, limited edition gig posters for shows in my area. Endorsed by the band, these posters usually go on an extremely limited print and sell out quickly; making them a must-have for any art & music lover.
Several prints are available for purchase in my online store.

In 2014, I created a floral themed poster for mewithoutYou's tour in Australia. The concept was simple: collaging vintage botanical imagery, composed with simple typography. Since that first poster, many bands and artists have had me re-create similar themes for them.
Let me preface this by mentioning that Jimmy Eat World's 1999 record Clarity was essentially the soundtrack to my teenage years. Needless to say I was thrilled when their management approached me to design a series of merchandise inspired by vintage travel posters. I put together two illustrations which were then applied to posters and t-shirts.
Around midnight on an evening in 2015, I'd had a few drinks and I received a very brief e-mail that said "Tour Poster Art. Want to do one? -Maron"
As a fan of his podcast and TV show, I jumped at the opportunity to do a poster for Marc Maron. He commissioned this poster for his show in Detroit, and I opted to illustrate him in his garage studio with his record collection and cats.
Three-color screen printed poster, printed with glow-in-the-dark inks, to commemorate Cloud Nothings' 2014 tour. Collaboration with illustrator Nick Spolarich.

Lost Lust Supply started out as a side-hustle and within one year turned into a near full-time job. A personal project started with one of my best friends, Brian Stowell, together we pull over two decades in the merchandise and entertainment industries. Both carrying a strong passion for physical objects and beautiful art, Lost Lust Supply is a side-project and creative outlet which allows us to make fun, practical objects without client bounds or restrictive deadlines. Initially releasing a couple enamel pins, we've expanded to other fun items; camping mugs, felt pennants, art-printed and embroidered patches.

Art direction, illustration and design for the band Prawn's album Kingfisher, released on LP and CD via Topshelf Records,
The album artwork is comprised of brightly colored illustrations derived from the closing song Halcyon Days. Singer Tony Clark wrote the lyrics inspired by sailing in Greece with his late father. The song is based on Greek legend that kingfishers made a floating nest in the Aegean Sea and had the power to calm the waves; thus inspiring the interior landscape scene within the gatefold jacket.
mewithoutYou is a band with a very particular visual aesthetic, and since 2010, I’ve had the pleasure of almost-exclusively illustrating their t-shirts and other merchandise. As I write this in October 2017, I've designed 34 pieces of apparel for the band, encompassing themes from all seven of their releases. The process includes exploring a myriad of vintage sources for imagery and piecing those elements together to depict a specific image from their song lyrics. Art Direction by the band’s singer, Aaron Weiss.

Welcome to the Kazoo Museum, a unique collaboration between friends turned partners in Beaufort, South Carolina. Spearheaded by Boaz Frankel, whose extensive kazoo collection sparked the idea, and Stephen Murray, former mayor of Beaufort and owner of the Kazoobie Kazoos; the largest kazoo factory in the US.
While crafting the museum's brand identity, my role in this project was multifaceted. Alongside Boaz and the experiential designer & musician Melanie von Trapp, we ventured on-site to contribute to its physical construction. From conceptualization to realization, I ensured that the museum's visual language remained cohesive, extending the brand's style-guide seamlessly throughout the space.
Today, the Kazoo Museum stands as a testament to our collective dedication and creativity, inviting visitors to explore the fascinating world of this humble yet iconic instrument. Visit here.
From metal bands to Grammy award winning pop artists, apparel design was my gateway into commercial art and niche market for the better part of 2005 through 2015. All the way back to making graphics for my friends’ bands as a teenager, before I knew I could actually charge money for this kind of work. There's a lot to see on this page; keep scrolling.

When the band Mayday Parade was planning a tour to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their album A Lesson in Romantics, their merchandise manager wanted to create a series of matching posters to commemorate six concerts on their tour route.
The resulting series of posters were six different posters highlighting wildlife from the band's home state of Florida. These were all screen-printed in-house, three-colors on various colors of French Paper.
When the band Walk the Moon was blowing up with their hit single Shut Up & Dance, I frequently worked with their team to design a wide array of brightly-colored, Nickeleodeon-inspired merchandise for them to sell on tour. Including apparel, screen-printed posters, snapback hats and even a custom watch. Pictured here is a small selection of the items we put together.
Hoof & the Horn is a clothing boutique in Yucca Valley, California, that carries rustic vintage and new fashions. For their identity, they wanted a logo that invokes and reflects their unique desert location. The logo has been applied to all branding elements, including business cards, gift certificates, postcards, embroidered patches, stickers, and even a one-of-a-kind die-cut laser-engraved wooden sign that welcomes visitors over the storefront.

Blood Brother is a documentary film about Rocky Braat, a young man from a fractured family and a troubled past, who went traveling through India without a plan. There he met a group of HIV positive children living in an orphanage -- a meeting that changed everything for him. Rocky left his life, friends, and career in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to live with the kids.
Having attended college with the producers and Rocky himself, I was tasked with creating the project’s visual identity and design language. I created a logo that pays homage to Indian culture, textured graphic elements, and, finally, a style-guide that utilizes a distressed, India-inspired color palette.
The film received both the Audience Choice Award and Best U.S. Documentary film at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.

Art direction & design for Caravels‘ 2012 album Lacuna, released by Topshelf Records. The vinyl version is packaged in a gatefold jacket, with three different colors of vinyl. The CD is packaged in a 4-panel digipak with a full-color lyric booklet. The album pre-orders also included a t-shirt based on the album cover.
As art director for the one-man band Cloudkicker, I single-handedly created all art & design for the project from 2011 until 2015. This includes doing the artwork for many of his records, several lines of merchandise to coincide with the album releases, and even choosing the vinyl color configurations. I also put together a line of limited-edition merchandise for Cloudkicker’s debut tour with Intronaut in 2014. Aside from this one tour, Ben Sharp is known by his fans to be a mysterious entity, producing all of this music alone at home in the midwest. Frequently Bandcamp's #1 best seller, he's highly heralded in the post-rock and djent genres.
The art department at Ashland University needed some new advertising materials for their program. Having attended their fine fine-art program, they contacted me to illustrate a poster. AU’s motto is “Accent on the Individual” so my goal was to illustrate all of the different tools & mediums that each student can use to define their craft.
Old & New is a collaborative design project based on Biblical passages. I was tasked with depicting the romantic passage “I am faint with love…” from Song of Solomon.
