Prawn “Kingfisher”

Art direction, illustration and design for the band Prawn's album Kingfisher, released on LP and CD via Topshelf Records,

The album artwork is comprised of brightly colored illustrations derived from the closing song Halcyon Days. Singer Tony Clark wrote the lyrics inspired by sailing in Greece with his late father. The song is based on Greek legend that kingfishers made a floating nest in the Aegean Sea and had the power to calm the waves; thus inspiring the interior landscape scene within the gatefold jacket.
