Blood Brother is a documentary film about Rocky Braat, a young man from a fractured family and a troubled past, who went traveling through India without a plan. There he met a group of HIV positive children living in an orphanage -- a meeting that changed everything for him. Rocky left his life, friends, and career in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to live with the kids.
Having attended college with the producers and Rocky himself, I was tasked with creating the project’s visual identity and design language. I created a logo that pays homage to Indian culture, textured graphic elements, and, finally, a style-guide that utilizes a distressed, India-inspired color palette.
